NADIS is a non-profit society founded in 1981. We are dedicated to the prevention of alcohol and drug abuse. Our society has continued to improve and refine this focus since 1981.
Historically, the problems of alcoholism and addiction have been dealt with after the fact. In reality, intervention can take place long before a young person ever takes a drink or uses a drug. "Prevention is building resilience, instead of vulnerability". Education makes the difference.
Welcome to NADIS!

In January 1983 N.A.D.I.S. became incorporated as a non-profit society, funds were raised to establish a permanent library of the most extensive and up to date literature and audio visuals. A board of Directors of active laymen and professionals has continued to give direction to the vision that was birthed when two recovered alcoholics realized "A picture is worth a thousand words". These "pictures" continue to be available on a free loan basis from Fanny Bay to Port Hardy with the most extensive and up to date library promoting "Awareness - The Key To Prevention".
